May Madness

We hare busy finishing up all the outside items that didn't get completed for our winter builds and moving on to some new projects that will begin in the next few weeks.

Earlier this month we started our own house and we are getting pretty excited about it! Its fun to be our own clients....I never have to persuade/convince myself to do something a little different! And because it is our own house we can go into detail about the design and build process.

The process of designing the layout of this house began not only with assessing our own needs for the house but also assessing the resale potential for any layout...we are in the habit of building and selling our own homes as well as homes for our clients!
This house is a 2300 square foot family home on 2 levels, but we have designed it so that potential future buyers could have one story living....master and laundry hook up are all on the first floor.  We decided to go with angled ceilings in the upstairs bedrooms and a loft stair area to give it that "old house" character.  The exterior is a farmhouse style with a big front veranda (VERY excited about the front porch!!).

2 Months and no posts....Whoa! Sorry about that!  I think you will understand when you hear what's been going on around here lately.

We completed 2 Units in Welbanks Meadows subdivision. One closed April 23 and the other closed April 30th.....below is a sneak peek of those finished homes (website updates are in the works!).

We also completed our custom home in Waupoos...here is a preview of that home...we love the kitchen that William Design did for us there. As you can see the homeowners definitely did some upgrades in the kitchen!

We also sold our own personal house last week, which you can see in our gallery on the website....we are really excited to bring you updates on how that project is progressing. Also, because it is our own home we can give you some insight on the planning and building stages from a homeowners perspective.

We will be putting some holes in the ground for new custom builds in the next couple weeks and we will try and keep on top of the updates here ;)

Welbanks - Lot 68 Selections

We have been working closely with all our Welbanks clients to help them select finishes and fixtures.  Here is our concept for Lot 68...its a lovely transitional colour palate and finishes.    I'll  let you know how this one turns out at the end of April!

Waupoos Progress - February

We've been working hard this month on a new build in Waupoos (beautiful place in the summer....lots of snow in the winter!).  We got it closed in and are working on finishes.  I just came from the site and the railings were just being installed...they look great!

Kitchen is also starting to come together this week (excuse my crooked photo!)

February Update

We have almost completed our Concecon Lake project and are excited to get finish photography! Until then here is a sneak peek of what to expect.

 

We are moving right along in Waupoos as well, drywall is up and we are set to begin finishing shortly.

Progress in 2015

We have started 2015 with lots of work to keep us and our guys busy.  We are in Picton building our second set of Semi-Detached units in the Welbanks Subdivision.  We have one of these units pre-sold and we are going to use the other side as our Model  unit....although there have been lots of interested buyers, so it may end up sold before the spring!

(You'll have to excuse me, it was -24 this morning ...so I didn't get out of the car!)

We are also in the final stages of a custom house located on Lake Concecon.  The fireplace and flooring are being completed.  The kitchen cabinetry and built-in's beside the fireplace will be installed next week and this house will start to look like a real home.

(The guys were camera shy.... hustling out of this shot leaving their tools behind them!)

On the other side of the County in Waupoos we have a custom house all framed in and the insulation is well underway.  Our materials are ordered and finishing should start in the next few weeks. (I'll get pictures of that one soon...it was too cold this morning!)

Speaking of Tiles....

So.....we were recently on a supplier website and saw our own work!  We are going to choose to be flattered about it!
