Welbank Meadows - Kitchen Options

We are working with the future owners of one of our Villa's to finalize their kitchen layout and design.

We pride ourselves in offering clients a building experience with options, because we know homeowners don't want to walk into their neighbours house and see the same finishes as their own! We also don't like building the same house over and over again....its boring for us too!

So even though these Villa's are a "production" build we want our clients to have a home that is uniquely theirs.

For these clients, they started with the same footprint as our model unit but we reconfigured the interior space to reflect a design that they were comfortable with.  The only thing they couldn't picture from the plans was how the kitchen was going to work for them....luckily we have an interior designer here (that's me!) who could put their mind at easy by showing them all their options!  Here were their options:

Lake Concecon - Fireplace Concept

We've been pretty lucky to work with clients who appreciate the advise and expertise that we bring to the table.  We always have lots of opinions about what "WE" would do with a space and sometimes people are on the same wavelength as us, and sometimes they pictured something totally different!  It's fun for us when clients decide to go forward with the designs and ideas that we offer, as is the case with this great fireplace concept.

Welbank Meadows - Foundation Complete!

We got our Villa foundation backfilled just in time for the first dusting of snow....right on schedule for our spring closing dates.  As you can see we use steel beams, which give us nice squeak-free floor on our main level and the added bonus of fewer bulkheads and metal posts in our basements!

Welbanks Meadows - Phase 2

You may remember back in the Spring (on the old blog) we mentioned our venture into building semi-detached villa style homes in the Welbank Meadows subdivision in Picton.  We didn't anticipate the demand for this type of housing and have been pleased with the response from home buyers.  In the fall we completed the first phase of our build and those 2 units sold quickly so we decided to start construction of the second set of Villa's (one of which is already sold!).  These units should be complete in early Spring 2015.

 

 

These Villa's include many of the standard features you will find in all our homes, like 9' ceilings, hardwood flooring and semi-custom en-suite bathrooms.  Although the exterior finishes and footprint of these homes are pre-selected to ensure a cohesive looking community, we work with our clients to provide interior layouts that work for their lifestyle and budget...and these services are complimentary! 

Below are some interior shots of one of the units we just completed.  This clients son is Joe Carroll, a custom cabinet and furniture maker, he did a lovely job designing and installing her custom kitchen!
